Honeysuckle Sawfly
Honeysuckle Sawfly
Occasionally, an infestation of sawflies pops up on honeysuckle. These sawflies are similar to the European Pine Sawfly in that they have a single generation in the spring. In Wisconsin, check plants around mid May for damage. When small, these sawflies can be controlled with soap sprays. As they mature most landscape insecticides will be very effective. When they reach an inch in length, they’re just about done feeding.
