Elm Sawfly
The large hairless yellow worms on willows are elm sawflies. When they get to be about two inches long, they will crawl to the ground and spin a cocoon. Adults will come out next June. In most cases, trees can tolerate the feeding. If the worms are full grown, there is no need to treat.
